GREG WICKHAM, HADACOL, AND FRIENDS CELEBRATE BIG WITH IF I LEFT THIS WORLD RELEASE PARTY AT KANSAS CITY'S RECORDBAR
Kansas City - Saturday, March 25, a crowd of just over 200 picked a night of great music at the famed RecordBar over the competing KU Elite 8 basketball game being held a few blocks away at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City. Those who did surely had no regrets. Special guests The Country Duo, Betse and Clarke, The Hardship Letters, The Naughty Pines, and co-producer Kristie Stremel led a huge revolving ensemble that included noted Kansas City horn players Chad Boydston, Kyle Dahlquist, Joe Athon, and Ben Ruth, guitar extraordinaire Marco Pascolini, B-3 maestro Cowboy Bart Colliver, fiddle player Todd Etter, legendary KC drummers Matt Brahl and Sam Platt, and, much to the delight of the big crowd, Greg's former bandmates brother Fred Wickham and bassist Richard Burgess from Hadacol. After a sweeping set drawn from the Greg's new record If I Left This World, Hadacol played a full set. The final song of the night was a barn-burning version of Hadacol's "Pappy" performed by a 14-piece band - not something you see every night, which is something that could be said of the entire evening.

SPECIAL GUESTS ANNOUNCED FOR IF I LEFT THIS WORLD CD RELEASE PARTY!
Saturday night, March 25, at Kansas City's RecordBar promises to be a night to remember. The release party for Greg Wickham's If I Left This World has turned into a full-blown celebration of the Kansas City Americana music scene. In addition to a cast of more than a dozen top musicians who played on the record, Wickham will be joined for a rare set from his original band, the powerhouse, alt-country Hadacol.
Special guests will also include brilliant songwriter (and co-producer of If I Left This World) Kristie Stremel, the inimitable Betse and Clarke, haunted tunes from The Hardship Letters, and, fresh off of the release of their new single "Wait a Little While Longer" recorded at the legendary Sun Studios, Kasey Rausch and Marco Pascolini, better known as The Country Duo. The night will close with some of the best classic country in the Midwest from The Naughty Pines. Wickham's set will feature a slew of guests from his record...there will be horns, there will be strings, there will be many musical things.
